Diablo 2 good?

Just my personal opinion here but...
Diablo 2 is a fun game with a fun story, fun system, fun classes, and can be very fun to go through co-op and such. But really... after a while it turns into absolute garbage. I can't understand how some people go so crazy over it.
You hack and slash and hack and slash and hack and slash some more. The best way to level is to spam repetitive, uninteresting stages after you beat the game ("Bloody Runs" and "Cow Runs") that were maybe interesting the first few times, but now, have been completely bled to death. After you level then it's all about FINDING TEH PHAT LEWTZ and you spam stages where you're likely to find good equipment ("Mephisto Runs" etc.). This is all to build up what in the end is basically what amounts to a little fantasy Digimon monster so that you can pit it up against other little fantasy Digimon monsters in fairly unskilled and uninteresting battles that are (in general) almost always massacres from one side (whoever chose the better skills and got the phattest lewt).
The game revolves around this lewt. People sit around in channels for hours searching for trades and sets and jewels and "SoJ's" and ****, and all for what? So you can have a l33ter little digimonster. After a while you'll probobly realize what a god-horrible waste of time it was, and that all those hours of your life weren't worth your shiny little level 99 amazon and her +20 Windforce of Dewm. After the first few playthroughs (which can be great), it's a big pointless scavenger hunt with some crappy combat mixed in.
So I guess the question is... is Diablo 2 a good game? Yeah, pretty much. But some people really need to move the **** on.
