'Destroy All Forces' mode.

A suggestion about another game mode.

What this mode is about (It's kinda like a "Capture the flag/ Counter-Strike/DragonBall Z") :


-Split up into teams. (Good/Evil)

-The Dragon Balls will be spawned in the map BUT instead of the Balls being seperate they will be in "sets"; one 'set' of 3 balls and one 'set' of 4 balls. (If you don't understand tell me and I'll draw you a picture).

-When you die, you enter a 'Spectater Mode' (like CS)

-If a team can bring the Dragon Balls together then they can wish back their entire team. If no one on the team is dead, the gatherer can wish for one of the standard wishes (Power/Friendship/Immortality).

-If a Team is wiped out, the winning team is awarded a point on the score board and a new round will begin.

with the way esf works the whole team would be dead in 2 minutes because the blasts are just so large

I see what you mean it's a prety good idea. However I think it should be 2 sets of 3 and 1 dragonball.

Acutally it's seven. Learn to read. He said: "2 sets of 3 and 1 dragonball" And if you can't aviod a blast, that's your own problem Besides 2 minutes is good considering that is about the average round of CS.

Anyway, I don't like the 3 set idea because with 2 sets people would acually have a chance to get all the balls together and keep the round going longer.

the proper wording would be 2 sets of 3 dragon balls and 1 single ball

Well there are a total of seven balls so assume he meant "2 sets of 3 dragon balls and 1 single ball" and save yourself the trouble.

2 sets of 3 and of 1 dragonball MIGHT mean 8
But since you cant have a set of a singularity, it could not properly be assumed

The original wording seems fine to me "2 sets of 3" AND "1".
programming style: if ((x == 2*3) && (y == 1)) {x + y = 7;}
maths style: 2 * 3 + 1 (2*3 is one term, and 1 is another term)

Hibiki has misread, and hell, I'm not gonna pass up a chance to show it to him!

This mode sounds ok, and i would rather it be 2 sets of 3 and 1. What about different objective modes like in CS? You could have this mode, as well as a "Rescue the Hostages" mode where you have to save Bulma, ChiChi, and other normal people from the "evil" side. I dunno how you would make a bombing mode for ESF but.

I spend enough time sitting out on CS. I play ESF for its high action and quick reflexes. Nah, siting out all round would be to annoying.

What!? No hostages!! Forget I mentioned CS! That was merly an example of what it would be like when you die. And if you "don't want to sit out" don't play in this game mode .

good idea m8 bit more team based rather than gather the dragon balls and thats what i think this game is lacking! O_O

I cant believe that you people actually argued about that for like a week! u completely forgot about the point at hand! THE NEW MODE OF PLAY!

Personally I think it is a good idea. But maybe with the bigger maps, like esf_battlearena or esf_mtside. but some of the smaller maps would be hard because of the distance.

I think that the capture the dragon balls mode is hard enough, so I dont know how well this mode would work. but im up for everything DBZ related.


P.S. dont start arguing about if it is a cartoon or not;D

I don't think it would be too hard though because you would only have to capture two sets of dragon balls rather than looking for each seperate ball.

ok what about a "whack the Mr Saitan / Herrcule mode" where Hurcule appears and the person who melees him first gets a point, first to 20 wins.
jkn, really what if they were to 'borrow' some game modes from other games such as rabbit from tribes 2, multiple team deathmatch from UT (i mean like 3 or 4 teams instead of 2), Last man standing with the amount of lives being a variable set by the server (this worked quite well in UT with a life limit of 20).
I would really like to see a tournement style game mode but somehow i dont see it comming in the next release, i mean CTD is still experemental.
