I just got home from work and saw the videos finally.

Game looks like it ****ing rules.
Hell yeah ^^ I'm not getting excited out of nothing here hehe.
Another awesome feature is the tag-teams, it's up to 5 vs 5, think Krillin, Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaotzu vs 5 Saibamen, also as seen in the videos you can perform some nice combos with it like sending your enemy flying then quickly switching to your 2nd character and launch an ultimate move while your enemy is still flying.

I can also confirm from an interview that adult Gohan will get his green outfit from the world tournament, like the Saiyaman clothes only without the helm/turban, glasses and cape, Krillin will have his costume with hair too, and probably there are a few more they're hiding.

Good video, though a part of me died hearing that song.
Fatality, download the video from the link I posted above, it's a HQ one without the music, it has the original sound. ;)

I really don't see why all this hype is for...All I saw so far is tenkaichi 1.1, more characters, some tweaked sprites and animations and some extra features. But looking at the past people always have been praising the dbz games far to high until they released :p. I have finished tenkaichi completly, and what I have seen from the E3 coverage and now is to me just and updated tenkaichi. I guess you can't expect more from a game that's a fighter AND a sequal....just waiting for that one true dbz game that will blow our small dbz fan minds away.

What additional features can you think of that would make it better? They gave everything I wanted and some I didn't
- Team battles
- Animated super moves
- Faithful cutscenes to the series
- The entire series from DB to DBZ to DBGT
- Levels double the size of the last game's
- More levels, spanning all of the classic areas
- Transformations during battle (which I don't like, honestly...I would have preferred it if they had kept it the old way)
- Probably thousands of unlockables, judging from the character lists

I mean what else can we really ask for?

Hopefully they'll have fixed all the problems that plagued the original Tenkaichi--but I've yet to see any comment on the controls being changed. Does anybody else remember how awkward they were? Sure, you get used to them--but try playing it now after months of non-use.

And it's not like a 360 degree-movement free game has to have necessarily complicated controls--take Zone of the Enders for example. In my opinion, the controls and the similarity between characters, along with the size of the arenas were what limited the original.

I actually played again 2 days ago after not playing it for 3 months, and I didn't have any problems trying to remember the controls. I don't know if it's from playing games since I was 5 and my muscle memory for my hands is crazy good, but I do know that the controls aren't that awkward. One button for melee, one button for ki, one button for block. Thats really all you need. Someone throws a punch, you either counter or block at the exact time and then do your melee until they block or counter. Yeah its repeatative, but the battles get intense because its the first person to mess up, gets hurt.

Trust me NJ, it's different this time.
I wasnt looking forward to BT1 at all at the time, this one does have pretty much everything I was looking for.

They kind of got the story mode of Budokai 3 mixed with Budokai 1 cut scenes style and an improved BT gameplay.
I dont know why I got a feeling this one wont suck, and it lost the feeling of a BT 1.1 long time ago =]

Is anyone else worried about the size of normal garlic jr's head
3D models tend to get deformed proportions when the camera is at a certain angle, if you'll look at Garlic in different possitions you'll realise his head is just fine. =]

Same here actually =P

- Transformations during battle (which I don't like, honestly...I would have preferred it if they had kept it the old way)
Hey no worries about that, it's optional! you can turn it on and off or you could just choose the starting form of your liking ^_^ means you can have it on, start with SSJ2 Goku and go further to SSJ3 or lower to SSJ and Normal form, if you turn it off, it's completly off, means no transformations what so ever =) nice huh?

Sheesh, why knock the Akon music >=(. Didn't fit at all, but it was far from 'horrible'.

From the looks of it, this seems like when you are aimming for a better game with a "sequel" instead of just a story continuation, this sets the bar. SSJ4 Gogeta Pounding Omega Shenron with teleport knockbacks, with a quick fired Big Bang Kamehameha that actually did what a beam SHOULD do instead of just blinding the screen...I need to get this game.

I only have one worry though. With the first Tenkaichi, I was like "WOW! Knocking people across an arena and being able to fire a Spirit Bomb?! Nice!", but today, the fighting is rather bland to me. I just hope this isn't the same.

Something tells me that just like with B3, T2 is going to massively change gameplay with the extended teleportation features. It amazed me just how much depth it added to the game. And trust me, being able to chase and ping-pong enemies in T2 will be much better than in T1, where you knock someone into a direction and just wait for them to stop or collide with something.

Well, I think it's cool that you have optional transform features. I can see what that would do for the story mode as well. Like, for accuracey you make it so that when Goku fights Majin Buu his SS3 form is default and unchangeable, but say, when he starts fighting Kid Buu, you start out SS2, but obviously can change form like he did several times in that battle.

I personally can't wait to see how they work out Goku's first SS3 Trans with cinematics! I hope he does each transformation in real-time, unlike the cinematic in T1 where it was just the end result of his power-up. And they'd better not make his SS3 trans instant like it is ingame for the cinematic. I at least want to hear the dialogue we heard of the SS3 trans in Dragon Universe from B3, in which case Goku actually performed a compact, but similar rendition of his infamous SS3 yell.

In a pic from the atari convention after E3 was overwith, they had a few pics of the skills some chars, and he posted one of match setup options which had, time limit, character transformation and life guage.

He said the life guage can be increased, character trans turned on and off so you or your opponent don't get a advantage and the limit is self explanitory.

It sure is, there was even a screenshot somewhere, i'd just have to find it heh, but take it from me it's confirmed =]

Chakra-X, download the version I posted, very high quality and with the original sound.

J-Dude, I agree with you about that, it's like the jump from Budokai 2 to Budokai 3, I feel a change here and I'm sure this one will be much better then the original Budokai, it has much more to it.

BTW new short video confirming Jackie Chan outfit for Master Roshi!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzNVQiy4gqE

Goku's spirit bomb got much bigger too.
Aint that awesome? they are going all out with costumes and thats another thing that makes me happy, recreating battles will be much more fun and accurate now =]

Dude, I can't wait to buy this game.
I feel you there ;P I usualy dont expect too much but what can I say, this one cought my eye much more then the first BT did.

Something I'm a little confused about is that city stage you see there with Goku and Yamcha...I'm not sure it's playable =[ I found this pic:

(Left pic - cool city, right pic - crappy city)

As you can see it looks a lot like the first BT city stage, and it looks really crappy compared to the new one seen in those new screenies...
I wonder if we'll get a few city stages or just a revamped crappy one ;_;

Another new scan, showing off the power struggles. It looks cleaner here, then in the previous installment.
