It's pretty obvious that they'd be making up a villain for this movie, considering that only 2 of the major villains actually cared about the dragonballs...Vegeta and Furiza...

I'm not expecting it to be the best movie ever made.
I'm expecting an excellent effects movie, though.
The plot will probably be usual DBZ...very, very simple and basic ie. Big evil guys shows up to get the dragonballs and the good guys fight him. They get beat up, then gou mysteriously finds some hidden strength/new ability/a shotgun and WINZ TEH DAY! :/

Its FOX..they're probably gonna give this a decent budget, so the effects will be nice. I'm not worried about that.
I just hope they get decent actors..
Please get Jet Li to play Vegeta..PLEASE get Jet Li

Oh, and don't expect the characters to be as muscular as they are in the show...these people ARE just humans, not animated characters ya know....

Think about this. 2/4 years ago, a DBZ movie would suck, since the special affects were so limiting. Now when you look at current movies, its amazing what they can do. Im pretty sure this is going to look pretty tight. I cant wait to see the Kamehameha, or goku turn ssj

this movie will be absolute junk itll be cheeser than FUNimations DBZ because its made by people looking to make money not staying true to the series,not to mention there target audience will probably be aimed at 8-14 year olds. they wont get jet Li or jackie chan to do this film the'll get Un-famous actors because its more cost effective, anyway why would jakie chan or jet Li want to put there tallent into a movie that is just special effects and kicking and punching, no real skill will be needed

also im worried about the hair, it just wont be DBZ without the hair!

and lets hope the put in a bigger budget to aford more than this

I'm surprised by the lack of faith you guys have, its kinda disturbing..

When Fox made the X-Men movie they stayed true to the basics of the story, they had to or else there would have been an uproar in the community. The same is happening here, DBZ has a huge fan-base (who are not all kids as some seem to believe) and any sort of crappy excuse of a film would be hammered.
