Does anyone know why Gohan can go super saiyan in GT but in DBZ he turned mystic and couldnt go super saiyan?

Also why did they cut out like the first 8+ episodes in the funimation DBGT? I watched the japanese ones and there were all these episodes that were just a flashback in the funimation GT. They had some good fighting too.

The entire Dragonball series, while being good, lacks any sort of connectors between sagas and such, and no, flashbacks don't count. So can you honestly expect DBZ and GT to have any form of connection?

Yeah DB/Z/GT basically was a giant stairway of power ups and new transformations. Due to the fact of another stairway of even more powerful enemies. I guess the end of DBZ wasn't enough for some people, so they continued the saga.
