Yes it is a game that you have to buy and play online. It is a MMORPG, in other words it is nothing to get interested in. Because once you go in you won't come back for years if at all. You will stop talking to people, working, bathing, everything becomes second when dealing with MMORPGS.

The funny thing is that they are not even that fun, you just end up getting hooked. Oh sure you may quit but then a few weeks/months later you will get an urge that just won't go away, and you will be playing it again.

These games offer you long hours of killing everything just to get to the next level which can average around 5 hours per level, not including loss of exp from death. There are no economies in these games. So you pick up something and take it to a merchant to sell it and they spit in your hand and throw some bones at you. Then they proceed to take what you sold them and mark up the price 350% or more.

Stay away they are evil, they will rob your life and give you nothing in return. Oh i forgot to mention they sock you 10-20 dollars a month.

daoc sucks. i was there from start. they nurfed my scout. at 50 my scout does this. fumble fumble miss. your shot is bt. fumble hit for 421 fumble. now by the time i miss the first time i would be dead. mythic is by far the WORSE company in the world.
