When do you make your own custom avatar? Can you? Because I see people with THEIR own avatars. (no offense) Does it depend on how many posts you make?

you need 50 posts to get a custom avatar (without spaming)

when u get 50 posts, what do u do? is there a option in the profiles part of the user? and...well...im not a newbie but whats spam?
