Crazy amount of members

I clicked on the members link, there are 190 pages of names registered to these forums, and nearly 2/3rds of them have 0 posts, and the remaining 1/3rds of those who do have posts, 2/3rds of them have 1-6 posts! Just thought Id point that out, and since this is an off-topic forum, and this post doesnt count to my postcount, it is ok if this is spam. I dont think that this is really spam, I sugest that someone delete the names with 0 posts, because it is nearly impossible to find members, like if you wanna see their latest post but dont know their exact name.

Just because this is off-topic doesn't mean spam is justified. Also, the members list is sorted in alphabetical order for easy searching.

If you don't know the exact name of the person you are searching for there is an option to match partial name. So you can type in as much as you know and it will find likely candidates.

But he does bring up a good point, I remember when I first went to register I wanted to use the name Brimstone but someone had already taken it...and he had never posted a single time...he still hasnt and he was registered in 2001...i dont know if its possible for anyone (i know that we all are pressed for time) but maybe some spring cleaning is in order (it is march after all)

While that is technically a nice idea, some forums don't add to your post count and a few users use this as a clan hub. In short, I will not be trimming users any time soon.

One more thing: One or two of those names are mine...i cant remember my user name and my screen name changed, so we will never know who i was, who i...USE to be...mwhaah....mwhaah...mwHWHAHAW!

Yeah I do see your point as people only posting in off-topic, but I dont have a prob with my name being taken, I regestered when these first opened....... so HA

They should send out notices to people via e-mail telling them to reactivate there accounts if they havn't posted or been active on the forum within ___ days. That would get rid of lots of members

What party? I wasnt invited either so dont feel all bad and stuff, happens to the best (or worst) of us.
Second thought! YOU had a party? You dindn't invite yourself? You didnt invite me? How can you have a party if you arent there, so in reality, you never did have a party, the party never existed. Whats your name from? What happened to the old "new" orange ugly looking forums? Just throw another party, and make sure you invite yourself.

But Cuc I have a question...isn't there some way to see the last time a person visited the site??? I'm pretty sure I saw something in the top right corner of the forum page that said when I last visited, so I'm sure you could trim the people who haven't even visted the site in oh say 6months?? Or are you saying that its gonna be a hellovalotta work that no one is gonna want to do...since they have better things they could be doing???

People its not that big of a deal. So what if they dont come here that often it is not hurting anyone. And they got that name first so there is no point in complaining. Also we have no right to delete there accounts because we dont know if they will ever return.

I can trim inactive users in about 5 seconds, but the principal of the matter is the issue, not the means.

personally I don't really mind so much inactive embers, most likely they signed up for some sorf of reason, so let them... maybe they do browse trough the forums, but just don't post anything, I did that for a month or so too..
