Console

[MONXver2.0]

I try to start Half life console, it starts ok, but when i push the ~ button it just makes a funny sound and no console shows up. heres my short cut C: \SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console . Did i make it wrong?

you have to post that in your Counter stike or half life shortcut right click on and it paste that in the target field

Fire fly, its at Console 1.0 . Is that ok or does it need more 0s. Still makes that funny sound when I try to use ~. I also added -dev to the target box in the short cut, didn't seem to help.

actually its easy to make the console!!


1. Make a shortcut to your desktop
2. right click on it then Properties
3. in the thing called path (i think its that!) you should write like this
this is Custom:

C:\sierra\halflife\hl.exe -console -game esforces

you should have this -console -game esforces after the other thing!

4. start half life and you end up in esforces when you start!

5. enter or create a game. click on one of these ½ § ' ¨ ~ ^



hope that will work!

-you know the problem that hl crushes if you leave the multiplayer-part? instead you can use the exit-command
-you can change parameters concerning your ping, name or whatever
-faster disconnect from servers
-look what ppl said, because the text is too fast

btw you can cheat without using the console

Ok,do this

1.Right click on your HL icon (the main game)
2. click properties
3.put this in: C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -dev -console

4.itll let u pull down the console in everygame and for HL and some others gives you developer's mode.


to make it simple, after C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe
put a space after hl.exe and -dev -console
