console help

ok, just for the records, i have already read all the posts about consoles and how to get em to werk. OK when i try to add "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console" to ma shortcut it says: "The name "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console" specified in the target box is not valid. Make sure the path name and file are correct"

help?

ps all the paths are correct, it jsut says it isnt

u have to add the code to the exe inself, not the shortcut, and then run it from that
