Hottsauce, it's this easy. I'm sure most of the people here use FireFox. Just install ChatZilla, it's an IRC addon for it, written in **********. Then just copy/paste this link:

irc://irc.gamesurge.net/esf

And voila, you're chatting with everyone else. Also works if you have another IRC client, it just automatically opens it via that link.

haha some n00bs "attacked" the IP adress of my forum which is actually Triple X' adress. I told you he has strong protection. But you guys did great job, coz you made a lot of lag in our convo. So, way to go n00bs.

Because, that all happened in SBox XD (me sending IP adress, and 5 mins later, terrible lag on Trilie's PC in The-Land-Of-Mighty-Dutch-Meats. That's all)

I imagine that a shoutbox would be abused in much the same way that the comments system on the main site was.

It's not so bad, though. I'm sure that the shoutbox will give me some more work to do, if you catch my drift

In the mean time, I voted "No", as I consider a shoutbox entirely superfluous because we have an IRC channel, which I don't think enough people visit. I've had many a fun time in #esf. I might even return, one of these days...

Sure it takes a little more effort but a much better substitute for a chat/shoutbox.
