Arguments are fine. Instigating just to piss people off or to turn an argument into something much worse isn't.

Nobody is going to be overly strict about what you have to say in chat. If one of the mods tells you to cool off and you think they're unjustified click the arrow next to their name inside of the chat box and send them a private message asking about it.
