Hi guys! Kinda bored, so I thought I'd start this thread! Making 3D stuff look like a cartoon can be tough, and yet there are so many ways to do it! Post your favorite methods, or at least the methods possible.

I'll start with a few:

1: Self-illuminate materials to 100% (or use Ink and Paint material with ink lines disabled=better effect), copy objects/characters, invert normals, use push modifier (Max) and give duplicates black color.

2: Conventional Ink and Paint material (Max).

3: Professional plugin "finalToon".

4: Professional plugin "Illustrator".

It takes more than editing a model to get Cel-Shading to work, and most games that utilize it have it coded into the engine. Sure you can imitate it, but it most likely won't work like true Cel-Shading.

Can you post screenshots of the ending results to your methods?

I meant more along the lines of traditional video/picture 3D, not strictly gaming, but you can post your gaming methods here as well.
