Cannot load from library problem

CAn somebdy help me with this problem? It's been happening for months now. Whenever I open ESF it says "Fatal Error Could not load Library c:/program files/steam/steamapps/[email protected]/Half-life/Esf/cl_dlls/client.dll"


I've tried re installing it but it doesn't seem to work.Can anyone please help me?@_@

Welcome to the ESF forums.

You need to download the latest version of the fmod.dll file and put in in your Steam \Half-Life\ folder. Sorry but I don't have a direct link on me at the moment, maybe someone else will post it. :-\

I have the same problem. I get an error saying cannot load from library at C:\Sierra\Half-life\ESF\cl_dlls\client.dll

I have tried downloading the new version of fmod.dll but it doesnt change a thing.

I havent installed esf I have just coppied it over from another computer could that be the problem?

Try to download and install metamod, so your game starts from the metamod.dll.
