America's crime rates are down from previous years while since Bush has been president unemployment is through the roof. It's not that we have more crime its just that its on the news more. I could go into a list on how Bush and company have messed up america in just 4 years but I won't because thats not the point of this thread. You have to keep in mind that america has been in every major war since the turn of the century. I'm not going to say we baled people out because I think we weren't going to help anyone in the first place. Damn it though people need to acknoledge the fact that not everyone hates america and not everyone in america likes bush.

Alright, I've had enough of all your anti-american talk. All of you can shove it. Look, We Americans just celebrated our country being 228 years old.

That old and were one of the greatest. And, just because you hate our President, dosn't mean you should hate the people. Bush did not win the popular vote in our country, he won the Electoral votes, made up of 425 house members, 100 senators and 3 representitives from the District of Columbia; this has only happened 4 times in our history. Though I support the President, not everyone here does, his approval ratings are around 50% because of all the propaganda floating around here, I'm sure most of you know what I speak of when I say propaganda.

Maybe were the greatest because we have freedom, the freedom of speech, press, religion, petition the government, and right to protest. We've had these rights since the declaration was ratified in July of 1776. That's how the Blacks got their rights, it's how women overcame suffrage. Or, maybe it's because there are few countries that run this world, one of the top being the United States. We were literally the first successful democracy. There was a stock market crash in the U.S. in '87, when America's stock crashed, ALL OF THE WORLD'S STOCK CRASHED just a day later.

I'm sick of all your people assuming that someone like me hates the rest of the world. I don't, though I love my country, I'm not going to tout around saying I'm better than you all. But when someone makes a BLATENLY anti-american thread and starts bashing people like me, my people, then don't expect me to not say anything, and don't expect most Americans not to say anything. Today I'm quite disgusted by the mods, the AUP says no political threads, but when you get to bash America it's wavered isn't it?

When an American calls a Canadian a pussy, that person is obviously stupid. I for one know that there was a very large Canadian division alongside the British on Operartion Juno during D-Day. The Canadians were just as ready to support the Allies as the Americans were, even if Canada didn't exactly have the resources to help. With the help of the freedom fighters in Europe and the Canadians from the west, no one would have been able to stop the German war machine. WW2 isn't the only thing America helped out in, years later, in the 80s, Ronald Reagan practicly got face to face with the Soviet leader Gorbichav, and challenged him to tear down the Berlin wall, the wall that seperated the Germans and kept them from becoming a prosperous country. It was because of him, and his fearless determination that the Soviet Union dissolved, and rose a new government, Russia. Which right now may not be a striving democracy, but many are pushing for it. Maybe if you all would read up on world history a bit you would see all the great things the Americans have done for the world, and you wouldn't despise us so much.
I ask you to not look at all Americans as snobby, stuck up people. We do things because we have our own reasons, not out of spite or what you may think.

America sucks, our president is a moron, or whole country is so mixed up and ghey [literally]. I have nothing against canada, nor any other county. Yes its true, most americans are rude and selfish, i hate america. But im stuck here. I might move to canada when im old enough, the US sucks.

I hope you enjoy your income tax in Canada.

urgh... this is going to get closed sooner than I thought. Last chance... you can talk about Canadian pride in here but not bash anyone. Although Tassadar didn't do anything "wrong" as far as I can see, let's have no more posts like his because the other side of the debate is not allowed to respond. We all have our own opinions and let's not fight about each other over stereotypes. This thread isn't supposed to be about American bashing and if we can avoid it from here on out it should be ok.

I love what america is but if your going to stand behind the president I'm going to ignore what your saying. The so called propaganda didn't start until after bush's approval rating dropped to around 44% as well.

I don't know where you get off saying I have a shallow mind for only correcting your figure on Bush's approval rating. There is nothing behind politics to look at when you look at George W. Actually, wait... The one thing that is far greater to Bush than politics, money. It's not proganda when they are written facts. The man goes against our constitution giving money to repair catholic churches, refuses 70 million dollars to give to those firemen and policemen that helped during 9/11 who are now suffering from toxic substances that were in the air, and has huge ties to foreign money (binladen) and enron (remember enron?). He has taken money out of schools and put it into the military. He won the election through his ties with the person in charge with the votes and his brother being governer of florida. The list goes on and on and I wasn't going to say any of this but you say I have a shallow mind so I had to. This country is great and Clinton actually paid off some of our national debt as well as having unemployment to a great low where Bush came in and Boosted our national debt by like 2 trillion off the bat as well as set up tax plans that put our country 5-7 trillion dollars in debt in the next 8 years and brings our unemployment to a dangerous level. The facts say that man is an idiot and everyone under him isn't worth crap.
