Can I get on mIRC w/o having it?

I remember some web-sites had some java-chat rooms that would
take you through mIRC Servers. just saying this cause I want to
get on the #esf channel but im at the college and I cant download
any programs on their comps

Its funny, I was just looking for a java-based IRC that I could use, I found many, but none will allow me to change servers to gamesnet, and using the GAMESNET java chat isnt possible, everything with the word game in it website wise, is blocked off in our school, I just wanna chat when im done with work, teachers dont care, as long as I have my **** done.
If anyone finds one that allows more commands than /me let me know. Like /join #channel or /server.
