Buu's Cannonball Attack

Remember Buu's cannonball attack from DBZ? He used it twice that I can remember - once as Super Buu against Gotenks, and as Kid Buu against Goku. Basically, he rolls into a ball and fires himself at his enemy by springing from the ground. If he hits a wall, he spins around and heads back towards him.

Perhaps this could be added to ESF in the following way - choose melee with 1, and then click 1 again to choose the cannonball attack. Instead of swooping, when you left click on a targeted enemy you will now shoot towards him. This will drain up ki faster than normally, but if you hit a wall you will bounce back the other way, and you will do twice as much damage to anybody who gets in your way.

The cannonball swoop could still be beaten by a swooper with a higher ki value, but anybody who is lower or who is only blocking will be hit with full force.

This would give Buu a nice extra attack that would make him more unique - right now, his only distinguishable attack is the Candy Beam (the mouthbeam is really just a super-generic-blast).

Sounds good. When you hit somebody who's blocking maybe it should start a power struggle that steadily forces the blocker backwards? As soon as they touch a wall/surface they take damage (kind of like the way it works with beams/energy balls I guess.)

BTW-I think he used it against Gohan and Vegetto as well (with poor results, because those fighters were far more powerful than him at the time.)

heh thats a good idea theres just one problem....how in the hell are you gonna stop it being the person on the other side of the cannon ball....you run or lose a ps ok i get it. because he will have full ki and you will probobly not be at full ki when he hits you. I still think a blast radius candy attack would work better.

You didn't read my post closely enough.

Buu will be losing ki at a rapid rate while he is in his cannonball. Pretty much any decent swoop will knock him out of it. This means that it's simple to stop him - teleport and swoop to hit him.

Though I do like the block-struggle idea mentioned just above if you're blocking. Better than just a regular hit, and it would be just like when Gohan stops his cannonball - yes, I remember that now you've mentioned it. :)

I agree, it would be cool.
I just think there should be no PS, but simply no damage when blocken (the attack would be too strong otherwise I assume)

@checkplease and the blastradius-idea: 2 things:
1- have you ever seen buu make something like that?
2- would be way too strong!

I like the PS idea too, and if you win the PS, he goes flying across the map, like you've just hit him with melee, except he can't recover. I think it'd be good, but I also think it'd probably be a ***** to code
