My option - ESF is way too slow, attacks could be faster just like in Budokai 3.
:\ Making maps without "skyboxes" would be great !! :]

Yeah attacks are too way too slow. And there should be more like only punch kick combo...
And stuff like if in ground then other hits you back then you have to press like space bar as fast as you can and as many times you can to stop - slow: more hit/slides to wall/rocks

its being tweaked for 1.3 aparantly

I dont think the half life engine can support otherwise but i could be wrong

yo yo again :)
I here with new idea "Rage attack".
Each time char gets killed" or gets beat up his rage metter grows. When metter is full he release his anger and that gives him +3.000.000 attack bonus for 40 sec.
---
One more: Bonus abilities
KI Strenght - Incrase damage of any beam
Attack - ... and punch or kick
Defense - ... more Life points
Speed - ... incrase turbo speed
Abilities incrases by +1. When ? When char. beats up other player 4 times. O_O o_O :laff:

Unless you want an indoor map you need a skybox, or a brush covering the visible outside areas of your map with the sky texture, but seeing as you can fly you may as well use the skybox. What's wrong with skyboxes anyway?

The Rage idea is basically limit break/meteo as stated not to post in the sticky.

a map without a skybox is a closed level, i other worts, it's inpossible.

Now thats a good idea, but I think they should be temporaily slow after decending from rage mode

Isn't that irrelevant to the topic?

Well ESF isn't a console 'beat-em-up' you can't make attacks as left punch, right kick etc. The best thing to speed up advanced melee is to limit the amount of combinations and make the arrows appear faster. I also think rage is a stupid idea.

And faster like "budokai" ?!?!?!?!

what? that game is slow as the only time its fast is during cinematics, and there "burst mode" i think its called, weak as...

In 1.3 all the characters later transformations will get faster and faster anyways, but if you meen adv melee i doubt there going to change it, maybe a little speed up but nothing drastic.

Have you ever played BattleField 1942 (or Vietnam) there maybe are sky boxes, but thing is after u' reach map limits, the text appears that you have to return or you will get killed. :S :scared:
:notice: ... so I don't know about HL engine, but ESF Team mappers can make similar thing. Map with skyboxes, but with limits. Anyways, the felling of this maps is like you fighting in the big box :] :]

dude...then ur talking about BATTLE FIELD...this is HALF LIFE...half life is way older then battlefield, battle field also has a limit but its WAY higher...battlefield can handle it...half life cant

If u would add limits to the maps in esf, the maps would get smaller which would be less fun to play...

Think again ... make maps bigger then original ESF maps and set limits. There where skyboxes used to be there might be empty area, +camera wont move out of map original bounds. When your char gets into empty area BAM ! 4sec. and you're gone :)

even if hl suports would hammer not exept it, the skybox is there to make envirement looking better.
that thing that battlefield has, it's just a part with trigger_hurt with a 4 second delay and damage on 200hp.

about the drawing of the map, the camera thing can't be done but the kill zone can.
you will get a verry small level since the levels are already pretty small.
the beam thing cant be done becours hl is to weak for that.

You can't do that. The esf maps are at the limit of how big they can be.

O.K :) HL has weak engine, but very advanced.
Walking from school :] I thought out this - "grabbing attack".
-It can be similar like in Tekken 3 you grab enemy from different sides (right, left, front etc. :) )
-------------------
-Two ways Basic grabbing and advanced
-Basic :yes: - It can be blocked and uses low cost of your KI.
Taking from back, -basic grabbing- - Vegeta trowing Goku to ground:


-Advanced - It can be blocked, but uses most of your KI o_O :S
