Budokai 2 Better Or worse

How could anyone possibly know what will be in the game and not in the game? How do you know there's no story mode? How do you know there's going to be secret fusions? I'll beleive you when you direct me to wherever you got your info from, but if not, there is no way you could know these things (unless you are working on the game yourself).

*EDIT* Sorry everyone, I just went to dbzonps2.com and you were right about the fusions. Sorry for yelling at everyone! Although I still haven't seen proof that there will be no story mode.

From what iv read, they arn't going to put in story mode BUT they are including a new gametype called Dragon Mode and you have to explore around lookinmg for other fighters and teaming up with them (your on the good side) and have to find the dragonballs before the evil team does, and you fight over the ballz when your team meets the other team e.t.c.

They say they don't have the time to make a new story mode because the first Budokai's story took ages to make, and the same would apply with Budokai2. IMO, this Dragon mode sounds really interesting, sorta like the mission mode you do in Soul Caliber 1&2 :laff:

actually, its called the dragon world, you pick a squad of 4 fighters, and its like a board game. 4 good guys and 4 bad guys. you go around looking for dbs. when u and an opponent are in the same place, you fight, and the loser skips a turn. this is from IGN and GameSpot. booorriiinnggg...

and about the awkward fuion thingy, its on GameSpot and IGN. dbzonps2.com cant be trusted seeing as its a mere fan site that not more than 50 people know about.

Budokai 2? Cool! Can't wait... I loved the old one I bet they will have buu saga in 2nd one.. I really never played cellshaded games. The only one I played that's cell shaded is Zelda Wind Waker

The graphics are infinitly better, however, they need to revamp the whole Fighting System. I hated Budokai 1 because of the cheap "combo and watch 2/3 of your life go away." They need it to be much faster, combos should take more skill instead of every fighter having the same "P+P+P+P" combo. The beams..ugh. I hated them. The need to be more defined, explosive, and bigger.

Unfortunately, unless they change it, Budokai 2 is going to disappoint all of us. First, no Story Mode. They're replacing it with Dragon World, which is basically a board game. When two people meet, they fight, and I suppose the person who gets all the balls first wins. But come on, how much fun does that really sound? Wouldn't you rather play Story Mode and go SSJ3 for the first time, or face off against Kid Buu?

Seen as stills, the new graphics look bad. I haven't seen them in action. Also, you can't just fuse with anybody you want... that misconception has been spreading fast. There are fusion capsules that you can use to do various fusions, and while there are SOME odd fusions - like Hercule/Goku and Tien/Yamcha - in the game, you can't just fuse, say, Android 17 and Raditz. Besides, think of how that would work. Can you think of a way it would? If you can't, chances are neither can the Budokai 2 team.

Finally, the new lineup of characters is suspect. Three Buus, Fat, Super and Kid, Videl (why? she's cool, sure, but she has no MOVES), Supreme Kai (fair enough), Dabura (fair enough), Young Trunks and Young Goten (once again, why? Do we need more Kid Gohans in Budokai?)...

Oh, and the verdict is out on whether you can fly at will (they're 'modifying' the flight engine), and you still can't jump or crouch. The reason being they never jump or crouch in DBZ, which means they've never seen Goku in action - he flips around all over the place.

They could have gone with the old graphics but that ok i dont mind cell shaded or what ever its called i just hope it more intense.This time SSJ3 Goku better be in the dang game i would think SSJ3 would be in the game since kid buu is in their they could have put a better story mode i dont know about this Dragon world thang it kinda sound stupid but it might not either way ill prbaly get this game.

I was way wrong in my first reply!!I have just seen the trailer of Budokai 2.Are there voices going to sound please tell me their not going to sound like that if they are iam very dissapionted in atari well iam dissapiont already making the game look that bad and i thought they where on the right track i guess i was very wrong come on what in the world where they thinking!!!It aint going to sell if it does it only because of little kids unless your just plain dum.Even if it had SSJ3 Goku in which it probaly i still would get it not worth the money ill buy it for $10.00 maybe just may for $20.00 if you caught me on a good day.Well thats all i got to say now.

USSJ2_Gohan as I stated in my other post, it is Budokai2, not Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu which is the DBZ GBA coming out november.

It even says on that site it's budokai2 "CyberConnect2 dévoile quelques nouvelles images de Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 sur PlayStation 2 dont la sortie est prévue pour le 25 Novembre 2003 aux USA."

well, i think the cell shading on this game might be ok, it might be cool in the fights, but i dont think the cutscene's will be too good.... but the best cell shading ive seen though is on the new naruto game.....

IM getting more pissed everyday about this problem... WHY DID THEY NUKE STORY MODE????? I mean the only reason i kept playing budo 1 was to watch dbz whenever i wanted....I was looking sooo goddamn much forward to seeing goten and trunks fight.....vegeta becoming a majin.....gohan going ssj2 in the arena.....vegetas final anotntment....majin buu kicking gohans ass......majin buu and hercule being friends.....goku going ssj3......goku and vegeta fighting....hercule trying to fly(lol)....Majin buu and gotenks fighting.....ssj3 gotenks.......buu absorbing piccolo and gotenks and gohan....VEGGETO......Candy veggeto......inside majin buu.......Kid buu.....goku's human spirit bomb.....happy majin buu......UUB.....and pan....PHEW see what were gonna miss....thats why im soo angry.....
