Organic modelling is a lot harder than inorganic. However, for inorganic objects such as this there are a lot more components that need to be modelled and when you want each part to look just right it can take some time
nuttzy: I've got over 50 different objects in my scene so I'm not going to unsmooth each to get a total low poly number. However, everything smoothed will give you well over 2 million triangles.
I can give you an exact number on everything you see in this new pic:
smothed: 541 431
unsmoothed: 130 291
Take note that in the above picture all I have is the body and the front details. That means no interior, or wheels and whatnot.
I hope this gives you an idea of what my cpu has to handle XD
