Who stole my steering wheel?
I would like to know the astronomical polycount of this thing...

things like that, should have tons of polys, that s obvious . That's why no one is asking for numbers, pc eint important here.
what is important is the level of details he is putting in.

i can't believe you even put the m3 symbol on the bottom of where the door goes (don't know how to explain the location). And the pedal are sick!

Haha, I was so amazed by the detail I didn't even notice the lack of a steering wheel.
Oh yes.. Mr. Bean style, take the steering wheel with you in you're briefcase.

Its about 2 million triangles so :p
I just hide the objects that I'm not working on in the scene so my computer doesn't fry.

Well thanks for all the nice replies :)

@Shady: Yes, hiding the steering wheel is like my security system, Mr. Bean ftw XD
@PiXel: Will look into it :)

a/c!

Hi, this is just a paint test. I have very little time to work on it these days so updates aren't going to be frequent or consistant :(

well you can't say that....
it's way more difficult as you have to texture most of of the details ^_^

Hey thanks for the replies!

Organic modelling is a lot harder than inorganic. However, for inorganic objects such as this there are a lot more components that need to be modelled and when you want each part to look just right it can take some time :)

nuttzy: I've got over 50 different objects in my scene so I'm not going to unsmooth each to get a total low poly number. However, everything smoothed will give you well over 2 million triangles.

I can give you an exact number on everything you see in this new pic:

smothed: 541 431
unsmoothed: 130 291

Take note that in the above picture all I have is the body and the front details. That means no interior, or wheels and whatnot.
I hope this gives you an idea of what my cpu has to handle XD
