My idea is that if you successfully block a blast/beam then your ki starts dropping. The more ki dropped, the faster you will send the blast away. The blast is released once you stop holding Q(block) or you have no ki left.
And you can use the blue side of the PS bar to see how much speed you have charged.
If this idea doesn't get in then you should put a new bar for blocking with no blue side.
