How so? Ichigo never looked at the sword's release, that is what causes you to be under its spell. Aizen alludes to the fact that once you are under its influence you are ALWAYS under its influence. Ichigo was screaming at them to stop killing Hinamori the whole time, they finally snapped out of it when you see the illusion revealed.

It is interesting to note that without his shikai, Aizen would have died.

I admit that i didn't see the Aizen/Hinamori swap coming. And i also admit that it's ****ing predictable. Ichigo can only do something if he goes 2nd stage hollow(that new thing).
I hope to be surprised sometime soon. :|

It would've been total buzzkill if they went through all the hassle of buying time for Ichigo and then go ahead and kill Aizen themselves. I think Aizen already told them that the hypnosis is permanent in the soul society arc (IIRC he said almost every shinigami saw his shikai, since you have to show it during a ceremony when you become captain).

Though it's weird that Ichigo only started screaming at them after they already impaled Hinamori (and that he just stands there while everybody fights Aizen).

I don't really think his 2nd stage hollow (I take it you mean the form he had against Ulquiorra) since then he has only power but reverts to more reckless fighting. I don't think that this would work on Aizen.
