big pack 8.4 problem

ok so i used winrar 32 bit to install it to steamapps/vegeta274/halflife/esf. well now whenever i try to play. it will load and stop and lock up at parsing game info but like ill hear sound. if i hit esc. gives me menu but glitches game if i hit resume... what should i do

Is your steam installed in program files by any chance?

yeah. in program files (x86) if that means anything

well according to my other post. that might be my problem. i have ecx in the esf folder. well. whatever the deafult folder it was set to install. and then i used winrar to unzip big pack to esf folder... not sure if that makes sense.

Open the console. Check for errors.

Update your GFX drivers, make sure your rendering mode ingame is set to Open GL.

Thats has nothing to do with the issue. The game doesnt freeze. The picture does. All lazy precache does is that it doesnt precache anything untill its required to do so. So it wont precatche the goku model until someone actually chooses goku.
