Not sure if it was Kaio Ken or not, but she got a sudden aura around her that was red and looked a little like a Kaio Ken. I don't think it was Kaio Ken, though.. King Kai taught Goku that technique, and Chi Chi never studied under King Kai.

dude, she was married to goku, and loved to fight. im sure they would have sparred sometime. and goku would have wanted to know chichi was safe. so he could have tought her it =/

Goku had to train in 10x times earths gravity in order to get a body that could handle kaio ken
but chi chi can learned it from goku because they sparred together?!

That Chi chi/Kaioken thing was comedy filler, the aura is supposed to show her anger at being called old (like when Gohan had his Rage on Namek).

Chi chi's cool though, she's probably the only person in the universe Goku was scared of
