Best multiplayer games for pc

It's that time of year again for me when my friends and I start to get bored of our normal routine in games and are looking for something new. This time around we are having much more trouble than normal, so I figured I'd ask you guys what your favorite multiplayer games are for PC just out of curiosity, as well as some ideas for future purchases. If you could exclude RTS games (I'm sorry, I'm just not that fond of them ) that'd be great. Thanks!

These are my favourite ones:

Counter strike Global offensive
Left 4 dead 2
Battleblock theatre
Portal 2(more of a 2 player co-op,i play with a friend in custom maps)

I also recommend these although some of them i dont play as much as i used to or dont play at all:

Hearthstone
Guns of icarus
Unturned
Street figter IV
Lethal league
The old ace of spades which is now called build and shoot

I also reccomend getting dont starve because its getting a multiplayer update soon

Can't help you there. i don't have friends, but there is a Multiplayer only game out there that is now ruining my life, more than anything else really. It's called Dota 2.

And then they made Smite. A third person version of it with the theme of ancient Gods.

Try Smite. It's pretty fun.

And if you play with friends all the better, because at least you know they won't leave.

Also try Orcs must die 2. That one has 2 player co-op in it, meaning I can't play it... hate it when that happens. I loved the first one...

Worms Revolution and Worms Armagghedon are also still pretty fun.

Right now I only play CoD: Black Ops II and Guild Wars 2. The mmo is fun, but if you're playing with friends I don't recommend it because it's easier to play a quick game in an FPS than an MMO.

There is a new game that JUST released on Steam called Double Action: Boogalo, it's a free-to-play with time slowing, jumping, sliding and shooting - kinda of like max payne or the old school mod, "The Specialists"

I recommend CoD: Advanced Warfare, that is if you're into CoD at all. Ghosts was terrible for me so I went back to Black Ops II, but this newer one does look promising it's scheduled for released on November 4.

Insurgency, this is one of the most hardcore and tactical fps games I've played and was about 15 bucks when I bought it - a complete steal.

That's all I got at the moment.

Thanks for the suggestions! And haha well I already have Worms Revolution and Worms Armageddon, and im not a big fan of the MOBA's but thanks! If you'd like to play Worms I'd be up for it sometime :fight:

I already have Don't Starve, Left4Dead2, Portal 2, Unturned and Guns of Icarus, but thanks for telling me about the original Ace of Spades! That game was great!

It depends on what Genre you prefer. I like WOW, Elder Scroll, Diablo Series, Morrowwind. I heard path of exile is also very good. Destiny2 is decent to play.
