Best anime?

Just in case u didnt know, Im an anime nut! So, i would like 2 hear from everyone what they think BEST anime is and why. One of my personal favs (besides DBZ) is Neon Genesis. Absolutely love the action sequences!

I've seen alot of animes.
My favorites are (no particular order): Yu Yu Hakusho, Trigun, Cyborg 009, Crest of the Stars, and Inu-Yasha.
DBZ and DB are good, but don't quite make it to my list of favorites.

Mine would have to be a three way tie between Evangelion,Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun.

1. DragonBall (Can't beat the original Toriyama )

1.) Cowboy Bebop. No contest.
2.) Rurouni Kenshin
3.) Pretty much every UC timeline Gundam. I never really liked Wing, V, G, etc.
4.) FLCL
5.) DBZ (of course )


Honorable mention to -X-, Street Fighter Zero, Inuyasha, Big O, Yu Yu Hakusho.

I actually don't really like many anime series, but there are some great anime movies out there.

I watched Akira for the first time in about 6 years the other day. Tremendous film.

I just returned Akira to Blockbuster today, I'm pissed tho, cause I got it last week, watched half of it then forgot I had it, then my sister reminded me it was due today and I was like "****". So I never got to see the last hour. But anyway my favorite right now is definatly Trigun, Lupin, Gundam Wing, DBZ, DB and Kenshin.

Cowboy Bebop is number. Hands down.

I will always be partial to DBZ. Im not sure why I love it, but I do.

I thought GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka) was awesome. I have a lot of favorite animes.

And to aswer your question, Abhorsen. FLCL (Furi Kuri) is a 6 episode anime. It is fairly bizarre. But so very good. I love it. And the main female character is in my sig and avatar. :smile:

ET: Yeah. I could watch episode 5 of FLCL straight through, all 30 or so minutes, without stopping. There's absolutely no boring part in it that I'd want to skip over; it just pulls me through. When an anime does that, even in one episode, me likey :]

Abhorsen: Yeah I got the movie way before they started advertising on Cartoon Network... it's been around for a good long while.

I saw a little bit of Excel Saga. Pretty funny, yup :laff:

Too many to choose from, but my #1 fave is DBZ.

Escaflowne, Gundam Wing, and Cowboy Bebop tie for 2nd.
Inuyasha, Trigun, Me My Strawberry Eggs, and Gunsmith Cats tie for 3rd.

Hitokiri:Lol yeah i know that,It came out in 99 or 00 didnt it?But they didnt even put down the real title of the movie,i think knockin on heavens door is a better title than "the movie",and also i dont know bout you but i would rather have seen a movie that happened after the series and not during.

Well, I think the reason they made the movie take place during the series is because the movie wouldnt be a very good one if it took place after.

Yeah, i didnt like how bebop ended thought.They didnt have to let you know who die.If he had just gone to the left alittle the knife would have missed i tell you!!!!!
