You have to reach a certain amount of posts first(I think its ~25)

Avatars are not working correctly, I think it happened when the forums got upgraded. Everyone who already had an avatar at the time of the switch was fine, but they can not change theirs, nor can someone without one add one. This problem will be fixed whenever the administrator has time.
