I don't want anything like that to determine aura colour. (I'm not sure which files are related to auras, or whether they're like the generic beam sprites, but I'll use the generic beams as an example.) If I want Piccolo to fire a green generic beam instead of a blue one ("blueattack" through to "bluetrail"), all I have to do is copy the "greenattack" through to "greentrail" files, rename them so that it says "blueattack" etc., and overwrite the original "blueattack" etc. files. Of course, I've backed up the originals in case I want to revert to the blue beam.
Unfortunately, all this does is give everyone who has a blue beam (Trunks etc.) a green generic beam.
Understand so far?
Now, all I'm asking is that they change it so that instead of blueattack, greenattack etc., it's cellattack, picattack, gokuattack etc. That way, I can change Piccolo's blue generic beam for a green one without affecting the generic beams of anyuone else's character. Same thing with auras if applicable. Furthermore, this would only be client side. If I had a red aura (gasp! The horror!), you would never know, because it would only show up on my side. Spectre would be free to have his camp auras without anyone else knowing of his insecurities.
