any small maps out there?

I've noticed all the maps meant for esf are really huge, and I was wondering if tehre were any small maps out there that has dragon balls too because me and my friends want to play games against ultimate bots, and we want a quick way of getting strong before we fight em

There is that esf_cellarena one

but they forgot to add stuff, like MVD. Basically it is a training map... but if people like it then what can I say.

There are not any small maps for ESF because melee is fast paced and requires a lot of room. Also, it would be lame because gamers could just charge a Kamehameha and kill many people with it.

I really hate the ESF_CellArena. It is too flat to fight on with my style atleast. The mapper obivously did not realize that he can raise the maximium distanced rendered by Half-Life. When it is too low, you see the sky cut into the actual map which is ugly and hides people charging up beams. The top of the skybox is also ridiculously high.

Not to mention the hullfile wasn't used in compile. <_<
But if you're looking for a small little basic map, one to just get strong on by collecting the dragon balls, that map is out there.

TOO FREAKING TRUE!!! I had a guy shooting a beam at me and I was like what the ****, where did that come from! And the DragonBalls :no:. The map is literally a race for the DragonBalls, the first person to go gets nailed, the second either gets nailed or uses his wish. Therefore, can you say "OMG LETS GET 900 000 000 PowerLevel within the next two minutes!".

erm is there a way i can edit cellarena so the db are already next to each other? Would I just have to delete the locations of the dbs and make new ones right next to each other?

I could make that sort of map in 10 mins of ya like...

Nothing fancy, just a box with some db's in it.

hmm could u make a map by just ripping the cell arena and making all 7 dragon balls right next to each other?

If my stuff gets ripped and another guy takes credit for it i would be steamed so feel all hard working peepz who make maps/models/sounds etc dont rip its bad make youre own stuff

And, it is ridiculously easy to make seven dragonballs next to each other; there is no need for ripping. Cell arena is a very basic map that some could make in Notepad.

:laff: how can some people use that to actually make good maps (if people do). Wow that is some hard stuff O_O. I can put in a cube though ^_^. But it is like 12 lines :(. I have a small map that I made, not done yet, but maybe it could be released. Just playing with proportions and stuff... took bout 2 hours tops.

Notepad is for editing really. Sometimes, people will decompile old maps not to edit brushes but to edit entities. This is because Hammer automaticly deletes odd shaped brushes while Notepad does not. That is how DE_Dust was edited into AS_Dust. If you keep the name the same, you would not have to redownload the map. The entities are server loaded, so it would work perfectly.

Is it like possible to add a sprite into a decompiled map? without having to redownload the map from the server. (Thats what u are saying)
