another Error

My ESF got fixed on one frame
and the frame didnt change to the next one
I tried some attacks and jumping - I heard it but I couldnt see it
this is not the first time this thing happens to me
I had it a long time - even before I reinstalled HL and ESF
and I reinstalled them more then once - it only occurs in ESF!
I'd like a respand with a fix if possible

1 question what resolution do you have ?

I got this prob too ... I see a black wierd frame with "lan game" on it ... but it only covers like half my screen because i have a biger res ... oh yeah to fix this .... prees escape to return to ESF menu then click Resume game

It chould be something else and Im mistaking this for it

I don't really understand your problem ...
you said you'Ve got just one frame ... this sounds for me like, you're playing ESF like a picture show (one picture per second)
then you said your frame didn't change ... sound for me like the game freezed

with these informations I only see one possibility .. .check your hardware (or frequenzies)

YES exactly! this is the word I was looking for
but it wasnt freezing like crashing with no exit...
I could hear the game continue
for example if I tried KAMEHAMEHA(by pressing '4' and 'fire') I could hear it ...
(after that I could even hear the bots killing me...)

as for what Wizard's Curse said - I tried that myself
but when I resumed it still was with the same FRAME
freezed!

so now that you know my situation please help me
I used DirectX , 800X600
most of the time the speed of FPS is fine for me I have no complains ,
though I would like to know the command for showing the FPS while playing
and in what *.CFG file to put the command in...

anyway when respanding dont forget the main issue here - get us a fix!!!!!!!

Well, I'm pretty sure I understand your problem, but what Wizard's Curse said always does the trick when it happens to me. Maybe try switching video mode's to Open gl, since that's what I use. Other than that, I don't know how to help you.

search in your "config.cfg" (esf-dir) for the entry 'net_graph "0"' and change the "0" to "3" ... the you see your fps

btw: as I already said ... are you sure that your videocard is running with it's ordinary frequenzy ??? or did you overclock it ???

what is the "ordinary frequenzy"??? I have no idea about it

BTW - now I noticed - it happens to me all the time
always when I press "ESC" key after creating a game this happens
- the game is fixed on one frame - freezes
since it occured when I pressed "ESC" - no metters how much I "ESC"+resume game I try
it still fixed on the same frame

Now I am sure that you all understand my first problem
and:

about opengl
I cant active OPENGL - wont work , guess I dont have the driver...
- maybe an update for nvidia will do the trick?

update your driver and run in OpenGL

if you card doesn't support OpenGL, run in Software and deactivate fxquality (add 'cl_fxquality "0"' into 'autoexec.cfg')

Dont worry , I have updated it not long ago for my TVOUT thingulish thnigtzky! - which is really cool for DVDation

its updated and threre is no FPS lag that justify lowering the quality!

I told yaall that it only happens when I press ESC one time
after running the LAG game
when I try to resume then - it freezes!
if I dont ESC it up , its all OK!
Its good that BOTS 3 is working on auto pailot for those kind of Bugs in ESF
that way I might not need to press ESC when I play lagVSbots and stuff in my house and I what to piss....

still , I am still waiting for a good reply to help this...
