I have some old ColorPage-HR6A scanner, which i've been using for a long time.
About a month ago i reinstalled my Windows XP, but didn't bother to install the scanner.
I tried to install it today, got the proper driver for it, but after i plug it in and use the "Found New Hardware Wizard" to install it, i get this annoying 'You fail' message at the end of it:

I tried everything to fix it (anything i could think of, anyway): reinstalling the driver, the programs, fudging up the registry, all, except reinstalling windows again. It's really annoying and i would appreciate some help :) .

Don't use the wizard. Install the driver from the device manager.

Which option did you use, Express or Custom? or did you try both? Sometimes under the custom option they have drivers for hardware.

Maybe try finding a newer driver, if there is one.

You had your printer on when installing the driver right? Im sure you did but you never know o_o
