Now that you have installed Earth's Special Forces, using the program mIRC is an essential part of the ESF community.

mIRC is a chat program used to talk to people, contact afk people, and just something to leave on all the time. However, mIRC does not consist of one chatroom. It has many chatrooms, that are referred to as channels.

You can download mIRC at: http://www.mirc.com/get.html

When you download and install it, click "Connect" on the mIRC toolbar or click "Connect to Server" in the mIRC Connect options tab. Make sure under the "Servers" tab that you have it set to connect to Gamesurge.net, the server that the ESF channels or "chatrooms" run on. After connecting, the main channels you'll want to join are:

#esf
#esf-world
#esf-league
ishouldntadvertisecuzitsbad


To join a channel, simply type /join {CHANNEL NAME HERE}
For example, if you want to join #esf, type /join #esf

If you wish to change your nickname, type /nick {NAME HERE}

That is all you need to know for commands. Find more commands at www.mirc.com or ask someone else for assistance. Since mIRC consists of both American and European players, the knowledge of English and its use in the channel is important.
