Yes .
Wouldn't you do the same?I thought DB Kai was enough for his retirement... but, I guess not.
I'd buy it in triplicate if it de-cannonized GT.he cant just write off GT like it never happened. Regardless what the fans think of it or the circumstances, he wrote it, it went to TV, it is now part of the DB universe.
I'd say "canon" is determined by the creator, if Toriyama decides to acknowledge GT as canon and assuming he begins his re-write in a post DBGT universe, then all the fans are going to have to eat it that GT is official canon. It is non-cannon, it was fan-made.
If the original author, DID NOT write it, in any way, it is non-cannon. It doesn't matter if a fan picked it up and Akira said "Alright, you guys do it"
Non-cannon ~
Heck, people consider the new 3 Star Wars movies Non-Cannon, and George Lucas even wrote em~ lol, fans are crazy.
If Toriyama approved GT as canon, it would be canon. If the original author, DID NOT write it, in any way, it is non-cannon. It doesn't matter if a fan picked it up and Akira said "Alright, you guys do it"
While he didnt have much involvement he did have influence on how things looked, all the characters were his design for that era, so it would be plausible if things had a "GT" look to them if he continued. In his intro to the GT Dragon Box, Toriyama explains that “For GT, all I did was just come up with the title, design the initial main cast and some of the machines, and also do a few images.”
