The water looks like freaking HL2 water... it looks FANTASTIC! Hopefully it comes out just in time for my new PC.

They report that AOE3 will use Havok physics, same as the ones in HL2. KICKASS!

What's wrong with that engine? Obviously it doesn't hold a candle to this AOE3 one, but I thought it was pretty decent for it's time.

Game looks awesome, but unfortunately I never took much of an interest in these games. The periods in history to which they refer never were my fav's, that's probably why.

An RTS with physics is, however, long overdue.

I only hope so, it's about time someone releases an RTS of Starcraft's caliber. There hasn't been a strategy that topped Starcraft yet, except for Total Annihialtion, but that came out before and it isnt all that popular anymore. I'm pretty confident that this game has the potential though... it just looks amazing.

Yeah, ragdoll physics on about 6 dozen enemies as well as all those shader effects and foliage could get kind of costly. But RTS games always seem to be very strong visually and performance-wise in my experience.

Have the AoE guys done other 3d games before?

I HATE them.... how can they make such a beatifull game????

I mean look at that, its like hl2 from a sky view....the water... the shaders... i mean you need a cold fusion reactor in your backyard to suport the computer you need to play this game!

it looks awsome... heh i am sure they have some sort of technique though to make it playable on an average computer... like that how more you zoom out the less polygones the characters and buildings have...
