About the beams.

Is it normal when the beams move straight down when you get in a power struggle or block struggle?

I tried searching for any posts with answers to this question but I found none. Sorry if this has been asked before.

I guess that this is normal... not sure... It happens to me all the time...

They usually don't move in straight lines, for various reasons. I believe they will only move perpendicular if you are of almost exactly the same powerlevel and same attack as your opponent.

I suppose they do it like this because if you had to bend your beam over to the other guy's beam, then the beam trial wouldn't be straight and the beam head would have to travel back round a curve and it'd look kinda weird. No idea if they're coming up with anything different though.
