So i had an idea today ... I don't know if this have been suggested or already made but anyways...

So basically the idea is : when a character slides on ground (from a hit or on sliding tier) the ground or grass becomes black or dark brown like if it ripped off the grass or damaged the ground...

So what do you think ?

A similar mechanic was in place for the very first open beta. Was removed due to the fact that it looked like shit on slopes ^^

But there should be something D: like decreasing the opacity or something... I don't know but in videos it feels really empty when there's nothing on ground going on when sliding

Decals cover for direct impacts, sliding is on a way to large area for decals to work properly without either lagging like all hell, or looking like crap when you hit slopes.

oh didn't think about it ... Sliding makes like >50 contacts ... so that makes like 50 decals appear :/ That would be actually really much of lag

Yeah. Besides, I could easily imagine it looking like your character violently excretes while sliding.
