I would have to say that between the Aliens and the Bugs, the Aliens would win, but only because of their impregnating advantage. Imagine if they managed to impregnate a single Brain Bug? Or some of those Mortar Bugs? The Aliens were smart enough to take prisoners for the purpose of impregnating them. They could easily do the same to the bugs, considering their huge numbers.

As for the predators, I don't think they'd own either of the races. I mean, they would own groups of them, but the entire colony?

Firstly, they'd have to go all out to destroy one of these groups. But secondly and more importantly, that's not what they're about. They hunt, they don't conquer and they don't exterminate.

Oh man, I'd feel sorry for that face hugger to have to stay attached to that ugly face for so long...

i really doubt those face huggers would be able to grab ahold of a bug the size of toolshed long enough to do any harm, its like throwing pebbles at a charging rhinocerous
The queen laid eggs that were big enough for the prey they were impregnating. I think that the aliens would make slightly bigger eggs for them.

hummm, Aliens hate fire, and wasnt there some huugggeeee firethrowing fat bug in starship troopers (or was that acid it was throwing)

I dunno, soldier Bug vs soldier Alien, Alien wins smack down no prob. The soldier bug was waaayyy to slow and if the alien got on its back which it prob would, it would tear the hell outta it.

huge aliens fan here (own all alien films in the quadrillogy boxed set plus collecting alien comics) cuz i been watching the films since i was about 3-4 years old, no **** any way about the facehugger not being big enough, it can jump down its victims mouth and into the wind pipe laying the egg which it does in one of my comics so if it got in one of those big bugs without being roasted by its flame breath, u got one big ****ing cheastburster ready to come out

did u know:
in the directors vision of alien 3 which is an extra 30 mins long, the alien come from a big ox thing not the dog like in the theratical realase and it explains more why it come out so big compered to a normal cheastburster, see it in the alien quadrillogy set, so go pay £50 for it now!!!

Gotta love the aliens, but seriously, the Bugs would just destroy them. There's just a hell of a lot more of them. They're faster, more agile, and just as deadly. And even if the aliens did beat them.... that's one planet down and a ton more to go.

You guys are looking at it all wrong...

You're imagining an army of Aliens vs an army of Bugs, but that's not the way the Aliens operate.

They infiltrate a base (or hive in this case) using stealth. And if there's room for platoons of humans to run around safely in their tunnels, then there's room for Aliens to gestate and slowly gain the advantage.

Don't forget, humans thought they were smart enough in all the movies. If they can out smart us, why can't they out smart the bugs?

I'm a pretty hardcore Aliens fan, but I liked Starship troopers as well. The bugs in ST totally outnumbered the Aliens from what we saw. But if they have the exaqct same numbers then the bugs from ST would totally get their **** ruined by the Aliens. Especially if they had the hybrid Predalien.

If the Predators joined in the war against Aliens vs. Arachnids then no body
would win, Simply because those cowards Self Destruct everytime they get
their ass handed to them.

Even though the topic says "A Colony of Aliens Vs. a Colony of Arachnids from Starship Troopers" I'd like to add in another fraction, The Predators
Of course you would like to add that factor in ;)

I personally believe the aliens would win and every reason I believe why is stated above. But I don't think it will be easy, they'll barely scrape a win.

Depends. Open area = Aliens ****ed. Enclosed area = Bugs gonna get their ass handed to 'em. I'm a fan of the Aliens movies/games. If the Aliens and the Bugs were exact (almost), and they were in lets say...well i dunno, somewhere enclosed, the Aliens have the intellegence advantage, and so on. But a battle (battle?) on an open field...imagine the ST movie, and seeing hundreds of Bugs charging u...(I would personaly piss my pants) the Bugs would crush the Aliens quite much...If the Aliens dont have some kind of Super Alien or sumthin...
