Since I couldn't find a Wii, I broke down and went ahead and got a 360, despite my worry. So it will be here in 3-5 days and I need to know, what do I need for this? I know Halo will be my first purchase, but what should I go after next? (Other than Fusion Frenzy 2)

Avoid Fuzion Frenzy 2! It's nowhere near as good as the original. And the original was only decent! They got another developer (Hudson) to make it.

You should get CoD 4 before you get Halo IMO.

That's disappointing to hear, my friends and I played hours upon hours of the original, only about 5 or 6 games we liked, but those alone provided hours of entertainment

Yeah, I have FF2, it's nothing special. I'd rather hit mario party on the Wii or GC.

As for CoD4, if you have a PC that can play it, you'll want it on the PC instead, trust me.

I'm torn. I've played it on both. It's prettier on my PC, but I love XBL. It's near impossible to cheat (compared to the PC version). Plus.. if he's getting an xbox, might as well start developing a group of XBL friends, achievements, etc.

Pretty much what I would recommend. Mass Effect is an awesome game, I watched a friend play it and its pretty badass. Definitly get Forza 2 if you like racing games.

Rainbow Six Vegas is also pretty fun.

Assassins creed is alright, but its more of a rent game in my opinion.

Check out bioshock and mass effect if your into less hardcore shooting action.

I would only buy Halo 3 if youre a Halo fan. I neve really played 1 & 2 all that much but 3 is kinda fun. I would definitly pick Call of Duty 4 over it though.

CoD4 on controller for the lose, plus my PC plays it faster and nicer
