Viva Pinata > GoW.

Really though, it's a great game. I've never played it, but I had more fun looking at videos than I did actually playing GoW.

I'm not that into the AC series, but I heard good things from AC4.

Gears of War, GTA4, and Devil May Cry 4 (if you have played the games already and are a fan, you'll play the extra modes and unlock extras).

edit: Armored Core 4 is the bee's knees.

Meh, whatever. Don't like it, then don't play it Zero. Doesn't mean it's a bad game, just means you have ****ty taste.

I'm in the minority here, but I honestly don't get why Gears of War is loved by so many.

Was it the fact that the game had a unique mechanic in cover system? Don't get me wrong, the cover system is unique, but it just felt like that made the game so much more tedious than it needed to be. By that I mean it turned the game into a travel to point A, get behind something, fire until everything moving dies, continue.

Was it the controls? Because from what I've played, the controls were much more complex than a traditional first person shooter. The first few hours with the game, I was struggling with the controls, and then, the game just kind of ended because of how short it was.

The graphics are good, but this is no reason to love a game. It's not even like the graphics are as good as everyone makes them out to be. I went into the game expecting amazing graphics because of what I had heard, but they were a let down. It didn't help that the game used a dark and depressing color palate. Keep in mind I was playing on an HD TV.

I know it wasn't the derivative and generic story.

I was just underwhelmed by the entire game. What was so good about it?

The cover technique really isn't any different than the PSX title Kill.Switch. Me having had played that game may have made the cover system in GoW that much more underwhelming.

I think I might have liked the game more had I played it on a mouse and keyboard.

I liked GoW. I thought the story was interesting, though very cliche-ridden, and it was also too short.

I liked the action, the graphics, the combat mechanics. Some of the fights were pretty intense, and playing it co-op online with a friend on the highest difficulty level is an experience in itself. Mostly frustrating, though. :p

I enjoyed it, and even dabbled in the online, but got bored with it when I got destroyed a few times in a row. I don't want to invest a ton of time in an old FPS that other people have put a million hours into, just so I can keep up with them.
