2 players LAN (I can only cause damage to myself)

How come I can only cause damage to myself on my LAN?
Even well I do a kamehameha on 1 meter distance, I don't damage the other player.

When you do a simple blast from 1 meter, does it always cause damage?

any blast should cause damage if you are hit by it or the explosions radius....

Well you can find out when someone is in your team or not it depends there's this shape on top of a players models there are in two colors where there on green is in your team or is friend when is on red is an enemie that means you attack the one with the red shape.
