1.2 scripts..

Actually, for the most part, it is cheating. It's using an exploit which is as bad as hacking. Thats like CS scripting the silenced USP to turn it into a 10 shot machine gun. Fires every shot in 1 second. No, it's just as bad as cheating because you're doing something that wasn't meant to be done. Of course, even if you did that in 1.2, you'd be screwed. VERY bad idea to be out of ki.

Yeah, i like how having full ki always in 1.2 doesn't matter much anymore. Your not stuck charging ki every second.

whats the big deal about teleporting into someones face and knocking them away....i mean think about it...if u sit still long enuff for them to do it that most likely means u were gonna try to HOW them anyway so u deserve to get smacked in the face from accross the map...and besides...if they miss they are pretty much screwed anyway because they are out of ki....so really...its not that big a deal

well the thing is its not fair to the people who donbt use scripts...because i hate being in a fight...and then sudenly breaking off to charge ki...then while im charging ki at a safe distance/...the guy can just smack me with a tele from across the map...it sux ass...even if they do miss...they end up just teleporting away whith small power ups until they regain ki...then while your chasing them trying to land the hit...they just how you...which sux ass....so it does make a big difference...i mean its fun to do it normally like if im 1 teleport away from my enemy and i tele up to em and smack em./..thats kool...because we were both close enough...but when im half way across the map...and then they do it...well thats just a pain..

Most people who actually do the tele 10 times in 1 sec thing dont use srcipts. We just bind tele to the mouse wheel. I still dont understand how its cheating but it must be bad enough for them to get rid of it in 1.2. If the z-warriors weren't allowed to tele as much as they wanted and as fast as they wanted they'd be pretty much screwed.....just contemplate this...

To use a script is to be making yourself ridiculously predictable, if it was even possible in 1.2. You can't use a script in advanced melee to blow some list of arrows by someone in record time, so what'd be the point to scripting outside of showing the same exact set of arrows to someone every time? Not only that, but there's also a gauge for a minimal charge time for an arrow, so you can't just say ;+moveleft;+moveright and hope it shows <- ->. There's a limit on how many times you can teleport, as stated before. So what exactly are you going to script? The only thing I could possibly see is swooping, but what kind of benefit is that going to get you? You can no longer move without having to swoop and burn ki? So much for moving while you're charging a beam. So much for being able to use advanced melee because of the minimum charge time. To script is to gimp in 1.2. It's that easy.

I know because I beta test 1.2. You can ask Joe. I'm one of the biggest thorns in his side when it comes to balancing and exploitation.

It's cheating because the team the created the game decided it wasn't intended for gameplay and as such as disabled it. Scripts in advanced melee would just screw you over in that people would know what every key stroke was supposed to be, and if you're timing was off it wouldn't execute properly. Teleporting 10 times instantly is no longer possible, in fact, it takes a lot of getting used to once you get in-game and realize you can't just click as fast as you want and tele as far as you want. Scripts aren't going to be any kind of bane to 1.2 .

That's right. Halorin's the Melee Man around here. He's been writing theoretical physics equations on the subject and generally busting his hump to make it sweet perfection for months now.

In all seriously I doubt the scripts will help. I'm more worried about spamming and cheesy play than I am about actual hacks.

And to reiterate, there are no such things as lsm'ing or how'ing in 1.2 because Ki's no longer a factor in head-ons, nor are head-ons handled the same way as 1.1.

Anyway, I'm glad there is no such thing as HOWing or LSM in 1.2. It really caused too many problems in 1.1. Some people abusing scripts was also annoying.. :\

Honestly, i dont think binding ur teleport buttons is abusing the teleport button especially because their are alot of howers even though u teleport way faster then uw ould with one button u lose alot of ki so it takes time to control it cause when som1 will head on after u use it u would be ****ed up thats just my oppinnion though
