Ok, list of bugs that I've found...

  • Gohan's shield is no longer visible.
  • Sometimes, the dragon balls spawn under the map (I think). When that happens, I find them on the scouter, but they aren't there. I noticed that every time a dragon ball seems to be below the map, it's always by a tree. Destroying the trees had no effect. There was also one instance where only one dragon ball couldn't be located. I placed the other six on the map where my scouter said the missing ball was, but they didn't activate. The dragon balls that end up below the map are probably falling, so it's possible it was out of range.
  • The new map causes the game to continuously take screenshots when you face certain directions (I noticed that it sometimes stops by the sides of the map or when facing away from the center).
  • ESF 1.2.1 corrupted my Steam installation after running it a couple times, and I haven't been able to fix it yet. Steam now has the following error when run AND when trying to reinstall:

    ERROR

Steam.exe (Main exception): Failed to create TopKey\SteamServerAddressCache
Details: CMultiFieldBlob(pSerialized): Partial field header at end of record

Oh, and if anyone knows how to fix that, I'd appreciate it.

  • It seems fine to me... *wait, it doesn't work when you join someone elses server*
  • CTDB mode is experimental, bugs will be fixed when they redo the gamemode
  • I know, a few of us didn't want it in the installer but they decided to keep it in
  • You sure it was ESF? In any case, just delete your platform.gcf and it'll update Steam again (back the file up first). That usually solves my Steam related problems.

I was hosting my own game, trying out the CTDB game mode, when Gohan's shield graphic was missing.

I know CTDB mode is experimental. Kinda hard to miss that, actually... Hence the bug report. The tree bit could be a significant observation, so I thought I'd mention that. Maybe some strangeness with the spawning location and interactive map objects.

Removing my platform.gcf didn't help. Still get the error immediately when trying to start steam. Also, noticed it doesn't matter what I do... whether it's starting steam normally or using the ESF shortcut, same immediate crash. The installer also crashes with the same error right after copying files. I'm assuming this has something to do with ESF 1.2.1 because I played ESF quite a bit before, and now this has happened after running 1.2.1 just twice.

Ok, I found a fix for the Steam error. It's some glitch with registry keys used by Steam. To fix it, delete ClientRegistry.blob.
