This will seem little noobish,but I did never played ESF on net so i want to ask do I need original Half Life cd-key to play it?And how to play it on net?

I installed half life steam and esf. When i clicked on the esf shortcut icon it said the item steam.exe that this shortcut refers to had been changed or moved , so this shortcut will no longer work properly

Well I want to make a normal esf server without evm but i dont want to unistall everything and reinstall esf1.2.3 again. So how can i make my server a normal esf server without all the evm stuff but still can play on evm servers without downloading all that stuff through steam?

i dont have steam but i am trying to play esf only with bots creating my own server if i have my net on i cant play because it keeps asking for a new version of hl and only steam fix that, but if i turn my net off i can start the server but some error appens on hl.exe or something like that if...
