Major Freezing. Everytime i join a game it freezes and i have to close for steam. i've only played twice in 1 hour. Good god..

When I join a game it has an illegal operation for hl right away but for lan it has the health and everything all just numbers and when u move or sumthing it does the same thing!!!!!!!!! HELP! O_O

I installed esf into 'c:\HL\esf'. then i open the shortcut, and nothing changes. So then i change the shortcut's open in area to c:\HL\esf. Something Sure does change, ESF Appears at the top of the screen, but that's it. Help, anyone?
