Do different characters gain power levels at different speeds?? Or do different attacks you use give you different amout of power after each kill?

these characters are for you underdogs out there like me... i live to have the underdog character that most people dont use. Nappa, Raditz, Spice, Yamcha, Tien. Those are suite.
