client.dll error

I know there were many problems with the cl_dlls\client.dll which have been discussed quite some time ago, but since I did not have problems before, I did not read these.
So, my current problem is the following: Since my internet doesn't work (I mentioned few times; wirting from a friend's) I wanted to play ESF from a netcafe. The first time I tried to do so, the Installer didn't work (because of known problems), so I decided simply to burn my esf folder onto cd and copy it to the pcs in the netcafe. This was when the error "cl_dlls\client.dll could not be loaded" appeared. Can anyone tell me why??
