Ok Im back i finally found the voiceicon.spr file but now The game still doesnt work once I actually create a game it just acts like its about to load the game then it just goes back to my desktop without any error messages or ne thing please if someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

a friend had the same problem ...
reason: he downloaded it per LAN (an installed version)
solution: he installed ESF with the Installer
if it doesn't work, try to re-install HL (and the current update 1.1.1.0)
and don't talk about the "voiceicon.spr" http://www.esforces.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15284
