Survey says that 7 out of 10 times that ESF crashes, it is due to the game being ran in software mode...
Start at the main menu for ESF. Go to Configuration. Then onward to Video. Take a left at Video Modes, and click on OpenGL or Direct3d. Just don't use MiniGL, I hear that does not work so hot...
anyways give either opengl or Direct3d a shot.
