install beta 1.1

do i have to install beta1.0 first before installing beta 1.1?

cause running the game when i only installed beta 1.1 doesnt work ( i have correct version of halflife 1.1.1.0) and its not listit in game mod when i start halflife

Depends whether u installed the 100mb full version or just the 40mb patch for which u require 1.0 to be installed.

i installed the full verion ( 100 mb )

do u own half life or counter strike? ur default directory for mods might be in cstrike

i own halflife and cs , but its installed in the halflife map with the other mods, not in cstrike

dont have a clue then sorry man. id try reinstalling :\

make sure it was installed in the right directory
c:\sierra\half-life\esf
if you have esf 1.0 then you only need the 1.1 patch
if you didnt have 1.0 then you can just dl the full 1.1 installation
if you did all that and you still can open esf in the mod options then create a shortcut and have the target as "c:\sierra\half-life\hl.exe" -console -game esf
